The Agilent Z2049A is a simplifiedversion of the E8421A. It is intended toprovide a very simple RF testenvironment for use with Agilentsystems and solutions. The Z2049A hasbeen designed to improve the RF testenvironment with key features such as:•High-performance RF gaskets,nickel-plated metal surfaces, andfiltered connectors on all signalpaths provide a consistent andreliable RF environment. Typical RFisolation is 65-80 dB from 800-2200MHz. This performance has beenfully characterized in a mode-stirredreverberation chamber, thestandard in RF isolationmeasurement techniques.•The optional RF absorber kit, addedto the inside of the side covers,minimizes internal reflections andmakes wideband over-the-airmeasurements possible. Becausereflections are reduced, theabsorber also increases RFisolation by 5-10 dB.•Nest materials and design havebeen specifically chosen to providethe required mechanical andelectrical properties for testingwireless devices, including sensitiveover-the-air measurements.Electrically reflective surfaces havebeen minimized and moved awayfrom the DUT.
