The Model V-44 Video Distribution Amplifier consists of a Model 512 Power Supply and 4-Model 404 Video Distribution Amplifiers which are mounted on a Model H-5/V Panel Chassis. The back panel has four 12-terminal barrier strips for input-outputs. There is one input (loop-thru) and four outputs for each of the 4 channels. Model V-44 is designed to provide up to 4 Channels of Distribution / Isolation of Video signals & amplification. A Video Distribution Amplifier (also known as a distribution amp or VDA) takes a video signal as an input, amplifies it, and outputs the amplified video signal to two or more outputs. It is primarily used to supply a single video signal to multiple pieces of video equipment. Video signals can suffer deterioration over relatively short cable distances. To compensate for that loss, a Video Distribution Amplifier (VDA) is used.A VDA adjusts the amplitude of a video signal to compensate for loss of signal in a video distribution system.
