The frequency is highly accurate in both CW mode and SWEEP mode thanks to PLL. The HP 83752 A offers excellent amplitude stability for both small and large (FULL-SPAN) frequency ranges (SWEEP). The HP 83752 A features amplitude correction, which can be used to compensate for attenuation (cables) between the HP 83752 A and the device under test. This ensures that a constant power level is always applied at the input of the device under test. A high output power of up to 17 dBm, together with amplitude correction, ensures that sufficient power is still available at the input of the device under test. These properties make the HP 83752 A, in combination with scalar network analyzers, suitable for testing passive and active components. Via its system bus interface, which is, for example, fully compatible with the HP 8757 D, a complete measurement system can be built.
