Synthesizer-controlled signal generator with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 2060 MHz. Frequency display, 8 digits, with a resolution of 10 Hz. The N-type socket output provides a level range from +13 dBm to -143.5 dBm into 50 ohms. The level is displayed on a 3 1/2-digit display with a resolution of 0.1 dB. The AM/FM modulation available in the HP 8657 B, as well as the HP-IB interface and the simple operation, complete the system.
