National Instruments PXI-6534
The National Instruments PXI-6534 (Part number: 778288-01) is a fast, parallel 32-bit computerized I/O interface, ideal for interfacing with 5V TTL/CMOS devices. It supports pattern I/O and fast data transfer using a broad range of handshaking conventions at speeds of up to 80 MB per second. The NI PXI-6534 Digital I/O Module provides computerized I/O together with large on-board memory. It features user-defined power-up states, start and stop triggering, pattern matching, and change detection. The user can operate the 32 lines either as individually configurable single-line I/O or as 8-, 16-, or 32-bit ports for pattern I/O and handshaking. The device is equipped with 32 channels and a maximum rate of 20 MHz. The PXI-6534 has dimensions of 6.4 x 3.9 in. The device operates using the NI-DAQ driver software, which is supplied with the product and is compatible with any NI application software or application development environment (ADE) of your choice. ADEs such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio are highly recommended, as they reduce the time required to acquire data or develop an application. The device can be automatically configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. On the PXI-6534, the 32 digital I/O lines are divided into four 8-bit ports. For pattern I/O or handshaking, the ports can be grouped into two 8-bit or 16-bit groups, or into a single 32-bit group. When configured for output, each data line can sink or source up to 24 mA when set to logic low or high, respectively. When configured as inputs, the PXI-6534 data lines are diode-terminated to attenuate input signals at TTL levels. When performing static or unstrobed I/O, the user can configure each of the 32 I/O lines exclusively as input or output. With pattern I/O, the user can input or output patterns under the timing control of a clock signal. When using handshaking I/O to interface the NI PXI-6534 Digital I/O Module to a peripheral device, data is transferred when both the NI PXI-6534 and the peripheral are ready. The device has a 68-pin male SCSI-II I/O connector type. PXI Digital I/O Module
