A simple-to-operate field maintenance tool for testing long runs of coax or twisted-pair cables. TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) identifies and locates cable faults. The unit is connected to the cable and sends out an electrical pulse that is reflected back to the unit by a fault in the cable. The fault type is identified by the shape of the display.
